I’m Lisa and I’m the creator of this blog.  I’ve always loved to write and after I got married I took an interest in cooking.  This blog was created to help keep me busy during my first year of being a stay at home mom.  Not to say that my two children don’t keep me busy enough, (haha) but I wanted to be able to have a project that would help me share recipes with family and friends and help keep me accountable to daily devotion time.  Here you’ll find directions on how to create simple recipes that are found regularly at our table.  You’ll also find favorite Bible verses and notes on various Bible passages.  I have never attended a Bible college nor do I claim to be an expert so please take what you will from my musings.  What I write is meant to be uplifting and thought provoking but by no means controversial.

About Lisa

I am fromDSC_5717 a small town in Arizona.  My husband and I were high school sweethearts and we were married after our sophomore year at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.  We were so in love I’m sure everyone was thankful that we actually graduated.  We have been married for eleven years and lucky for us we are still crazy about each other.  After we finished college we lived in California for five years so Mike could attend medical school.  From there we moved to Salt Lake City so he could do residency.  During these years while he was studying/working I was teaching.  During those nine years I was able to teach 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade.  In July of 2014 we moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan so we can finish this journey of his becoming a doctor.  While Mike is doing his fellowship for the year I’ll be blogging. 🙂

While we were in our last year in California (intern-year) we had our first child, Matthew Ryan.  Nineteen months later we had Lindsay Morgan in Salt Lake City.  These two are incredibly adorable (yes I know I’m biased) and extremely energetic.  At three and four years old they keep me on my toes.  We love to go camping, hiking, and swimming together.  Our latest adventures are exploring the nature trails around Ann Arbor.  I love watching them grow and writing down all the silly things they say.  It’s inevitable…they’re probably going to be the stars of this blog.
